🚘 Driving Evaluations for At-Risk or Elderly Drivers
🧠 What is the DriveABLE On-Road Evaluation (DORE)?
The DriveABLE On-Road Evaluation (DORE) is a scientifically validated driving assessment designed to evaluate cognitive fitness for driving, especially for at-risk or elderly drivers.
Unlike standard road tests, the DORE does
not penalize common driving habits — it is focused exclusively on detecting
cognitive decline that affects driving safety.
“When Northwest Neurology’s medical team needed a more objective and scientific way to assess patients’ fitness to drive, DriveABLE delivered. We’ve tested over a thousand people. I fell in love with DriveABLE.”
— Dr. Robert Bashuk, Neurology Specialist
🔬 How the DORE Works
- The DORE compares real-world driving behavior between:
- Cognitively healthy drivers, and
- Drivers with signs of cognitive impairment
- Conducted on a standardized road course by certified evaluators.
- The scoring system:
- Excludes typical “bad habit” errors of healthy drivers.
- Highlights specific patterns linked to cognitive decline.
✅ Scientifically based
✅ Validated by neurologists and healthcare professionals
✅ Protects competent drivers from being unfairly assessed
