Taggart’s Driving School operates Georgia Department of Public Safety licensed teenage driver education programs in both public and private schools and in our own classroom locations throughout metropolitan Atlanta and the state of Georgia. Taggart’s Driving School also provides private, in-car lessons, with home pick-up, featuring training vehicles with the exclusive two steering wheel, two brake and two gas pedal system in metro Atlanta and the Gainesville, Athens, Cartersville, Rome, Dalton, Carrollton, Fayette County and Conyers/Lithonia areas. The state licensed Taggart’s DUI, Substance Abuse and Driver Improvement Clinic provides assessments and the 20-hour program required under Georgia law for the restoration of a driver’s license. Individuals required to enroll in this program have had their driver’s license suspended or revoked for DUI/DWI, drug offenses or underage possession/purchase of alcohol or drugs. This program also satisfies most alcohol/drug classes ordered by Georgia courts. Taggart’s Driver Improvement Clinic, licensed by the Georgia State Patrol, teaches the 6-hour defensive driving program often required for driver’s license restoration, ticket dismissal for both Georgia and out-of-state courts and points reduction. Under Georgia law, drivers under 21 years of age are required to take this program if they have been convicted of driving 24+ mph above the speed limit. This program can also be taken by individuals 25 years of age or older, with a clean driving record for the previous 3 years, in order to obtain a 10% reduction in insurance rates.
